We skipped a month, unintentionally, so this month’s Fresh Pressed Edit is coming at you a couple of weeks earlier than we typically send them out. I’ve honestly been so tired lately that the moment we get home, eat dinner, and go through our daughter’s bedroom routine, we’re in bed. Recently, we both looked at each other and were like, “Why have I felt so tired this week?” Perhaps it’s due to the days feeling a little shorter because we’re getting closer to the time change, but we’re both really tired.
We’ve been planning our daughter’s birthday party, which will be a lot smaller than her 1st birthday, but there is a theme. I find it easier to plan parties when I establish a theme or color scheme to work from, but it’s intended to be a pretty laid-back celebration at our home with immediate family.
Well, enough of my talking. Let’s get into the edit!
🍁 40 Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids to Keep Busy This Season
🍁 We shared our fall bucket list, and although we haven’t accomplished much on it just yet, we’re looking forward to doing what we can this fall.
🍁 I love reading some of Jenn’s recommendations for fall athleisure as someone who is definitely leaning more into the cozy season.
🍁 Kylie Kelce opened up about a past miscarriage she had, and I relate so heavily to the emotions she expressed as someone who also suffered from past losses. It truly never leaves you.
🍁 I enjoyed seeing some of what this person has been doing to their older home. I LOVE the wooden frames and the exposed brick.
🍁 I’ve been debating getting one of these for our family in the future as our lives continue to get busier, but for now we’re sticking with our whiteboard in the kitchen.
🍁 This article talks about how much overtime it costs to fulfill or achieve aspects of “The American Dream.” They estimate that it’s $5 million dollars and I’m shocked. What do you think?
🍁 Saving this for the next time I make brussels sprouts.

Neither of us has done much reading outside of the occasional news articles, Substacks/blogs, and parenting books.
You already know I’ve been playing “The Life of A Showgirl” on repeat. There’s been some mixed thoughts on this album, but as someone who has been listening to her for a while, I personally enjoyed the album a lot. My husband said that “Elizabeth Taylor” gave him chills when he first heard it.
📷 1 & 2. Some pictures I snapped during our visit to the Cape May Zoo using my film lens. The leaves were already starting to change in early September!
📷 3 & 4. Still feeling the high from the Eagles’ win that week. Han said I was dressed like a ‘90s mom.
📷 5 & 6. I am still getting used to the lens I purchased. I’m so used to crisp images that I forget sometimes that the whole point of this lens is for it to look a little more nostalgic and less perfect. I like it, though, and have been planning to print some to add to our photo albums.
I’ve been thinking about getting this or a Skylight for the kitchen. I’m waiting to see if this goes on sale during Prime Week to decide whether I’ll actually make a purchase, but I'm also weighing the pros and cons of whether this is something that makes sense to buy right now.
I’m planning on buying this book for our daughter because she loves the Llama Llama books.
How cute is this stitch kit?
I am more of a harvest person than a spooky person when it comes to fall decor, but I love this mug.
I purchased these recently while they were on sale, and now considering purchasing this top to wear around the holidays.
I don’t know if I’d spend $99 for a costume like this, but I do love it!
